Khuyen “Max” Lam is a product designer during the day, and an artist during the night. A few years ago, while studying engineering at graduate school, she ventured into Shenandoah National Park alone. She was caught in a hurricane, and was moved by the sight of the stormy Blue Ridge Mountains. With her cellphone battery running low, she sketched what she saw and felt, and could never stop creating art since.
Her work is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the stormy afternoon that started her artistic journey. She primarily uses watercolor to express herself.
